I actually just checked the highlights. Weirdly, weāre both kinda right. McGrath is manning the mark while not looking at Betts, while Mckenna has his back completely turned, doing nothing, while Betts just casually runs around the back of him.
No, actually the closest player was Irish to be fair, and Irish just did not concentrate on taking the nearest player, who was Eddie. Made them look inept, but they have only played about 20 games between them
Moot point - Betts would have kicked the goal anyway.
The main issue was McGrath having to man up 2 players. He did the right thing by going closer to the man in the goal square even though it wasnāt his direct man.
That one on one dual where McGrath almost marked it against Betts thoughā¦
Anyway, didnāt mean to make a āthingā out of it. It was a messy bit of play from all concerned, but McGrath was impressive in every other thing that he did.
