#10 Isaac Kako

I mean, I am not sure 6th in tables i50 at Essendon for a small forward who has played every game is a claim to fame.

(He will be fine.)

Iove how he has started. But I wish he wouldn’t go so far up the ground to get a kick.
If he stayed in and around the 50mtr line he would cause alot of serious havoc

Both Caddy and Kako need partners to help their games.

I think Guelfi might be the one to help Kako … sort of keep an eye out if he gets roughed up and look for him on the lead.

Caddy … well I think he’s already an alpha forward and progresses each game. Just get the ball to him is the motto for Nate.

Will be his breakout game tonight.

Could Kako have gone to Motlop tonight? Can he defend.

Thought he played pretty well tonight. The experience he and Nate are getting is going to be huge in the long run.

Just keep pumping games into him.

The opposition treat him as if he’s our best forward.

That preseason game must have really put a scare through everyone.

Hasn’t dropped his head even though he hasn’t hit the scoreboard. Works super hard. I’m very impressed with his clean hands. Hasn’t been able to find any easy ball at all, seems like every possession he gets is under immense pressure.

He always stays on his feet and yes clean hands - he is tracking well but it would be great if he could have a ā€œbreakout gameā€ and get a nomination for RS and make it 4 for the club this year. Anyone recall how many we had in 1992/93 period?

Is this a joke?

That’s all we need, another top pick becoming a back pocket.

Have a ping K !

Gonna bump his thread. Hey Isaac if you read your own thread please do me a favour? When you chase down a player and get to within a couple of metres of them, please don’t then take short steps and try and pressure them to dispose the ball; accelerate and tackle them hard please. Warm Regards, Whereswalla.

Yeah this corralling bullsht needs to stop.

He isn’t the only one either so it’s obviously an instruction.

Yeah, Davey like pressure.

Yeah, good game from Isaac. He looks better than any small forward we have had since Tippa.

It goes both ways. You go for the tackle then they can handball into the space you just created. Corralling can stop the handball and hem them into a tight spot. We often get sucked to the ball and leave runners on the outside.

Not saying we don’t corral too much, cos i think we do, but its an effective strategy in a lot of instances.

Back on Kako, thought he was a real livewire tonight, loved his game and his partnership with Caddy

Really liked his game. Slowly building. Sometimes just needs to try and do the simple things.
