#12 Will Setterfield

Tsatas has to come back I think, but damned if i know who goes out for him. I assume 2MP for Bryan, we have pretty much zero options there, even though we’d be swapping a cmajority-ruck for a majority-forward.

21 Disposals but more importantly led the team for tackles and goal assists. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, he ain’t an athlete but he can football, and we play better when he is in the side.

Got the 10 tackles right, and it was 5 score involvements instead of goals.

Disposal efficiency at 76% was pretty good. Especially for an inside mid disposing mostly by foot.

No. That is why Shiel and Setterfield are playing midfield instead of Hobbs and Tsatas.

Plus the coach, CEO and others saying we’re aiming for finals.

Uunderated and underutilised.

We always seem more structured and defensively better in the midfield when he plays.

Side looks much more balanced with him there

Immense. The difference his size around the ball made to us can’t be underestimated. And his passing by foot was crisp.

Will be important to play on Reid this week.

We planning on playing Setterfield as a half forward flanker?

Hard and composed. He makes us better.

Tough one though, he’ll be 28 next season so is he list clogger? I guess it’s up to Hobbs & Tsatas to demand selection. If nothing else, Will is good depth. As we know, we never have the full component of mids available for selection.

Played a solid game, the tackles we all expect but I liked his offensive game also. I like the idea of using him as a target for oppo matchups, especially while Tsatas develops. I do think he has hit his ceiling though.

Based on last night, will be hard to bring Tsatas straight back - but I still think his first touch game has value, Shiel and Hobbs did all the clearance work.

And then who is dropped for Caldwell when he’s ready?

He’s consistently shown that - when fit - he can a play a role for us and play it well.

Keep. At worst he’s injured or solid depth. But at his best he balances our midfield quite nicely.

His foot passes into the F50 were a thing to behold last night. He gave Oliver a right royal touch up.

Well Bryan is out. So if we’re going the rest of the season with one ruck…

Though my suspicion is we’ll see Wright as the backup ruck. If this happens, I’d rather see Wright play more ruck, and Draper play more forward.

Did everything asked of last night. A bunch of us want to drop him next week. They’re either taking the ■■■■ or completely off their face.

Wright is useless as a forward, while Draper is improving there with each match. But is Wright good enough to handle the main ruck work ? Surely not !

I’d rather see Goldstein brought back. He was the best ruckman in the league 10 years ago; he’s still bloody good - for half a match. They could bring him in and play him exclusively in the ruck for the first half, then substitute him with a small, fast player for the second half, and have Draper share the ruck work with Jones then.

But Wright ? We’d be better off playing Setters in the ruck !

If Bombers have the ball on a string we may not need much of a ruck.
