#13 - Nik Cox - thru 2026 (Part 2)

We should be asking the AFL for an extra list spot if he is retained. He’d be 20/1 to forge a career at this point. I genuinely fear for his welfare.

Does this man have a highlight video? Asking for a friend.

With the new ruck rule and last touch could he play ruck and be useful around the ground

Did he have any other injury or has he been out the whole season with concussion.

Also what injury kept him out between rd7 (2022) & rd19 (2023)

Concussion. Played two VFL games mid-year ish, symptoms came back after the second one despite no obvious incident, didn’t play again.

I know the AFL has their independent panel that assesses it, and I’m no sort of neurologist, but it’s wild to me that he got cleared to keep playing.

All of them. Back injury, hamstring, foot, and I think ankle too.

Jesus!

At least it wasn’t another concussion or a knee I suppose

Is Brisbane doing the same with Logan Morris?

For a Nik Cox highlight package, there was less innuendo than I thought there would be. All we got was one, “Cox keeps on coming”.

No, “Cox rises”, or, “Lotta love here for big Cox”, etc

If he does make a comeback we may get the “big cox has no haters, onlyfans”

I just looked at his stats.

Played 20 games in 2024.

Why do I not remember this?

Was supposed to be our NAS. Depressing. How many since Gumby to fall down this hole?

Certainly does. This is all from just his first season.

Perhaps injuries and mismanagement of his early years development program jeopardised another promising talent. Me thinks likely. He wasn’t the only player to suffer in the Bombers system.

Don’t dare question the club docs, whatever you do. I did something similar and copped it. Doesn’t matter if he may be easily concussed. Doesn’t matter if he takes months to get past concussion issues. Doesn’t matter if clubs get their response to concussions wrong all the time.

You’re not a doctor so shush.

I would be still open to playing him on the wing just to save his career.

I don’t understand the alternative.
Delist a guy based on the opinion of someone with no medical background who has never met bloke?

Only thing he will be remembered for is his running goal

Here is a better idea. Play the best possible players in their most suitable positions, instead of pandering to one individual!

That’s a fair call, what I should have said was if we are going to play him we should play him on the wing where there’s less chance of another head knock, is that ok.

How is it the medical teams fault he’s susceptible to concussions?
