I think he has to target that second tall forward/ back up ruck spot if it means he has to go back to VFL and nail that so be it

Of course what those players have in common is a desire to compete and get better.
Despite being from private schools.
So the issue isnāt actually what type of school they went to.

At the end of the day if they come from a private school then fine but we seem to pick the wrong type.

He has to play forward. Itās the only position heās shown anything.
Weāve got Reid and Hayes to fill backline tall spots.

The only modern player I can think of thatās similar in style to Cox is Adam Tomlinson.
Keeping in mind that Cox is three inches taller, this is Tomlinson as a 22 year-old.
I donāt know how he compares in beefcake levels, but you can decide for yourself.
Cox has good footy skills. Surely even our dumb coach can find a position for him.
Otherwise heāll just be another Essendon player doing well in another team.
I agree but how do we fit Langers, Caddy, Jones and Cox in that forward line, no too mention Draper.

Issue is we are too tall across the ground.
So who is last on our list of talls. Cox?
We canāt run with Draper, 2MP, Bryan, Mackay, Jones, Reid, Hayes.
So someone is missing out.
IMO forward line locks are:
Caddy, Langford, Kako & Gresham
With one more tall (Wright/Jones/Cox or Draper if we play 2 rucks), another mid-sized type (Perkins) & another pressure small (Guelfi/Davey?).
eg:
HF: Perkins Wright Gresham
F: Kako Caddy Langford
with Guelfi rotating off the bench.
Maybe they also have Cox or Jones on the bench as well if they see them playing more wing/HF. That would probably mean either Hobbs or Tsatas misses out though.

Plus injuries plus form plus coachās bias (the last of which is a neutral comment, just saying it exists).
Not having a go at anyoneās view, but the wholeā¦terrible list/canāt fit them all in the seniors thing isā¦I dunno, man.
Iām pretty cowish on the list and the club in general.

Yep, I currently have Jones/Cox/Bryan as emgs in a hypothetical best 22 but in reality theyāll all play plenty of senior footy

You donāt fit them all in together itās either one of jones wright or cox the other two should be in the vfl earning a spot
