#13 Orazio Fantasia - his surname is pronounced “injured”

People who need a good slap, in no particular order:
Coaches for picking him when he’s clearly hobbled
Fantasia for saying he can play when he’s clearly hobbled
List management for not having a better option available than a clearly hobbled Fantasia

And now he probably won’t get a full preseason

So, you know what’s wrong with him. So presumably the club do too. And presumably the club would also know how much of a debilitating injury it is. Yet, for some reason, he’s getting selected to play.

Are we trying to fkn destroy him or what? Put the foot down, fkn tell him he’s cooked, book him in for surgery NOW so we don’t end up fcking up his pre season any harder than we’re about to. Ffs.

maybe we overrated him

He is not overrated, we are destroying him playing him injured. I wouldn’t be surprised if he left end of year.

Or Wines

Its a joke

end of 2017 we would very reasonably have been able to demand a top 6 pick for him. now we’d probably scrape a first rounder.

He’s not overrated. He shouldn’t be playing. It’s pretty obvious. When he’s fit and going he’s a one touch player. Doesn’t fumble, gets around the ground with ease and burns his opponent off with speed. He can’t get separation. I feel for him because it’s opening him up to ridicule which is undeserving. He needs surgery. Why the ■■■■ is he out there?

Don’t know about you but I’d rather get a decent medical team that can keep these blokes on the park

So was this the incident that caused the hip injury ?
Awful loopy kick by Conor…

There is a lot about Essendon which is not right atm.

When you think about we just beat The Suns and they also got thrashed on the weekend by the Lions.
We are grossly over-rated. Yes I know all about our injuries, other clubs also have as many injured or more injured than us. Our problem is NO ticker.

That would mean it was more than just us ‘overrating’ him then, wouldn’t it?

Seriously, put him in for farkin surgery, his season had been clearly cooked for some time now.

You mean keep them off the park until ready to play.

They made the right call with Smith, how can they not see they’re getting this monumentally wrong with Fanta, precisely as they did with JD.

Thats just his frame. Cant build him up. In fact I think we built him up too much over summer maybe.

He is a weapon at his best. An absolute gun.

Like Charlie Cameron and Stephenson. You just need to know how to use them.

But if he has no pace he shouldnt be playing.

Thats why I was wondering if 4 weeks of rest would have been better than two.

No point playing him at present. Mossie would do much more in that role.

And even then, he still doesn’t want it. Just knows he is going to get nailed he is that farking slow. And he is coming off a very high base.

I know players play injured late in seasons but they are not usually this obviously limited. When does that ever end well, especially with our fitness team. It’s unfair on his team mates to be effectively a man down from the start of a game.

He is the cookiest, cooked player, that ever cooked!

100%. Hes got.no confidence in his pace
