That's why I knew he'd be around. Hahaha.

I would have liked to have seen him given a "run with" role in his first game rather than just "go out and kick a few". Forgettable debut, not good but not bad bad either. I would like to give him another 2 games in a row to really see how he goes.
I will try really hard to notice him in this game.
Spent most of the day there. Had a bite to eat at Yanni's before the footy and then caught up with my wife afterwards and had dinner at Martini'sI was looking out for you on The Parade today, Aceman.
I thought he was ok. Nothing brilliant, but enough calmness and competitiveness to think he can be a player.
I've seen him a couple of times in the VFL and he doesn't get a lot of possessions. But all the attributes look ok.
I don't expect him to get 20 possessions in his first game, just to show a bit of skill and decision making under pressure.
Just a question of managing his development.
He will be ok. Saw enough signs. Look at him again mid-season next year.
He's Teflon to my eyes.
Very good.
After torturing myself and watching the replay and keeping an eye out for Fanta, I noticed he got himself into good positions for overlap receiving but was seldom used. Allowed to run past as a decoy and given to a more senior player like Stants. Pity as he was in good spots to break clear and deliver into forward 50. The one time he was used was when he was under pressure and got caught. He also put on blocks etc when not used. I like the kid, signs look good.
Wasn't the worst player we had on the ground. Probably a bit light on and needs to put on a lot more muscle but not afraid to put his body on the line.
More than I can say for a whole lot of our blokes last night.
won't lie, at the game I did yell trav/dell names when he got the ball
Give him Stantons spot, better right kick, more composed under pressure.

LOL.
This about sums up Blitz.

What people faill to realize with Stanton, is that he 'gut' runs to receive the ball.
So quite often he is that stuffed/lactic in the legs-the disposal suffers.
Now that doesn't excuse all his bad disposals, but to cop some of the sh#t he does on here is a complete lack of respect and reeks of ignorance with regard to how fatigue can affect disposal. Maybe some of you have never played football?

The one big failing Stants has is his awareness - he doesn't think laterally or look laterally to open up space. I don't know how hard that was worked on early & continues to be worked on but it's still below average for an AFL player.
His kicking is fine and has been for most of his career IMHO.
But yeah he falls a bit into 'Gilbert' territory... "see those houses... I built those houses... do they call me Gilbert the builder?
you see that ship? I sailed that ship around the world... do they call me Gilbert the sailor?
look at that freeway - I designed that freeway.... do they call me Gilbert the engineer??
Ya ■■■■ one goat..."

Gonna be something with a couple more pre-season's under his belt.

Goes hard in traffic.
Could be a good alternative for Benny How if he builds a tank.
Seems very composed, looks the goods.
Fantastic name
