Jordan Ridley has requested to leave Essendon

I’m a huge fan of Rids, but I think this makes sense for all parties.

We need to try ditch as many of these long-term deals as we can. He probably benefits from a change of scenery.

I suspect Essendon is just posturing and a deal gets done (assuming the rumour is true).

“It’s not a real rebuild, Ridley asked to leave”

Do it.

Stop trying to hold players hostage. You want out, go.

Predicted. His body language has said it for weeks

And also, ■■■■ Brisbane in the eye socket hard. ■■■■■■.

a big thing about shifting the culture will be getting players that want to be here and are able to get onto the park and actually build continuity with their teammates.

I think his talent is undeniable and the lions will probably maximise it, but we’re on a completely different trajectory.

Yeah, they should just let him go.

It’s time to go….Jordan Ridley. Please do the trade.

let him go and start again trying to hold blokes to deals is stupid.

this would also be the genuine start of the rebuild

He’s told the club he doesn’t want to be there and he isn’t committed, now it’s up to the club to maximise the return.

Good luck Rosa.

tbh he seems pretty weak as ■■■■. Don’t mind that he leaves.

Try send him to a club that give us a first round pick. Not sure what Brisbane would be willing to offer up
