I've been told that his biggest obstacle will be whether he can handle the structured and sometimes claustrophobic world of being a modern AFL player. If he is up to the task he could be anything.Sounds like he would have been better suited in a bygone era like the 70's and 80's as Van Der Haars partner in crime.
Yep he’s got it. 4 smart goals plus a beautiful long kick and assist to Tippa. I would still have Laverde ahead of him though as that medium marking forward based on today.

Impressed by his game today. Most everything he did was composed, which is a great sign for a first gamer, even if it was a pre-season game. I think a second performance like that in the final game should see him on the paddock come round one, along with another first gamer in McGrath.
