#16 “OMG it’s Archie” Perkins (Part 1)

It’s crazy that he’s played 100.

At least he seems to have cured his inconsistency problems.

As long as the club takes a “learning”:

Don’t draft kids who demand to stay in Melboune - not hungry enough

I guarantee the Monday after the last round he will request a trade to Hawthorn.

There is no doubt there is talent but he could not give a rats ass playing for Essendon and is most likely in kahoots with Hawthorn so they can snag him for a late pick.

Wowza.

He looked an exciting prospect in his first season.

Then someone decided to try and make him a midfielder. He’s gone backwards ever since.

A swap for MacKenzie would be nice

Good suggestion I’d do that in a heartbeat, the hawks would be silly to though. Perkins public profile helps the perception to outsiders he’s better than he actually is though.

Unlike Massimo where it was pretty clear and unanimous we were losing a good player to Hawthorn.

I dont think Hawthorn have a magic wand to make football come easy to Perkins.

Great kick for goal, good mark but there’s alot more to that.

Chol is a great kick for goal and mark if not contested, he hasn’t turned into a gun and infact he’s been dropped by Hawthorn.

I was pretty meh on Massimo when it was happening to be honest. I didn’t expect him to break out the way he did with the Hawks. Big mistake looking back now alongside Voss.

Are we reading his attitude and intent being mental issues wrong and it’s only he’s leaving and checked out.

It’s not a great indication of Brad’s coaching capabilities, if a player is too hard he cuts them loose. If he was a manager in a workplace it would indicate incompetence or burnout.

And they stayed intact.

One theory is that Brad has known for a while that he’s going to another club and he keeps playing him to keep his trade value up, the theory being is that we value Archie, he’s best 22 and he’s a required player.

The more we play him in the VFL the more his manager will use that as leverage to get him out for unders.

Just a theory.

A shame Tsatas didn’t get the same treatment.

Also if he keeps playing him given how scared of physical contact he is it gives everyone a laugh in a difficult season

So an employee is a dud and it is the Managers fault. Fark I must have been a very poor Manager, because i sifted through a cavalcade of duds in my working career.
