Well… I think he has had a much better year than Caldwell who has been abysmal.

McKay just makes me angry watching him play in defense, and has now been swung forward to see if they can find a spot he is competent at.
Durham is arguably our best player.
So in my mind there is an argument that he has more value to us than 3 of the other 4 mentioned.
Which I know isn’t the point of your post. And I find it a sign of very poor times that the above makes me seem like I’m in any way happy with Perkins performance. But he has definitely shown some improvement, which I do think is a credit to him, albeit off a terribly low base (as you state).

Given a set role as a medium forward (not moved up around the ground) and getting the same service ollie henry gets he definitely could. Ollie henry averages 1.8 goals this season but only 1.6 tackles. Perko is same height, age and could be as good as if not better than henry with the same advantages henry has had
