Arse absolutely handed to him again but let’s persist I say.
We’ve looked terrible all year playing one ruck
Well I say, play him for the rest of this year, play him all next year, ■■■■ it, let’s go Lebron James with this ■■■■ and play Goldy for the next 4-5 years.
Brad doesn’t drop his boys
Nope. No more.
Bryan instead.
I thought he was ok
De Koning absolutely flogged him.
His numbers were fine. But if we are going to be thumped that badly by an opposition ruck, may as well be getting games in a developing ruck.
Goldy matched him for score involvements
Developing ruck who will be playing for another team next year?
At the game and De Koning ripped him a new one. Forget the stats, he was dominated.
He needs support against the younger ruckman simple
De Konning’s plays were more noticeable - I think both played well.
I was at the game too. De Koning had a big impact. Goldy did a lot of good too.
He was decent in patches and awful in others
But Brad won’t drop one of his boys so he will stay in at the expense of youth
He did a fair amount of good stuff tonight, but his opponent was probably BoG. I’m not sure where the coaches think we are going with Goldstein playing first ruck. I’d prefer that Bryan was getting development at AFL level, and I thought we looked better in the third quarter when Wright was rucking. Hopefully Draper is available after the bye.
He does some good stuff and his pure ruck work is the best at the club.
But younger, powerful and athletic rucks destroy him post hitout. At this point I’d probably rather see Bryan run out the year so we know where we stand with him. Can he get the intensity required with experience or is he just a really good vfl ruck?
At the game and definitely thought DeKoning got the better of him.
Misjudged the drop far too often, and seemed overly focused on taking the body (which resulted in some pretty bloody easy clearances for them).
Like Bryan last week, not a single mark taken.
yet despite all that was still our best midfielder, indictment on the entire unit
Won hitouts for fun but how much benefit do they really give us? Aside from ruck contests, he’s not providing much presence. Looked very tired again in the 2nd half despite the rest. I think, like many mature recruits, they get that burst of life in the first 7 weeks of a season before the realities of a worn body start to set in. Glad we have him on the list for this year but I don’t think it’s doing us any good having him in our 22 for next year and beyond.
