See ya.

Thank you, for your good service to the EFC, all the best for whatever you decide to do now.

Had 2 or 3 gun seasons before he was injured and then he got a little long in the tooth. At his best was a very good ruck man and decent when moved forward.

Great service from the big man. Thanks Hilly.

Knee injury came at the wrong time for him, maybe at the right time for Paddy. In 2008, he was our ruckman and 5th midfielder. His hard running was absolutely immense.

Absolutely marveled at how this guy got around the field despite being about 112kgs. Also loved some of the hits he put on in his prime.

At his best he was one of the best ruckmen in the league. There were a couple of years where I thought he could have been All Australian if we weren't such a ■■■■ team at the time.

Thank you for years of great service Dave, you are a true gentleman.

Not too shabby for a player who was pick 40 in the same draft that Josh Fraser went at number 1.

Pity he didn't eke out another 3 games to reach 200.

Thanks for your efforts over a solid career.

Has he officially retired?

May well have been a captain of the EFC were it not for that knee.

Genuinely great guy who gave his all. ... Nuff said.

Arguably, the best pick #40 ever taken.

Great club guy.

Hope he stays around the organisation for leadership.

Was always comforted when Hilly was in the team. Seems a ripping bloke as well. As above I too hope he stays around the club in some form.

Best wishes, great clubman, loyal service to the club.

Wasn't he skipper when Lloydy went down?

Arguably, the best pick #40 ever taken.

Unfortunately not even close. One G Ablett jnr was drafted at pick 40 in 2001.

Great clubman who served the club well despite being cruelled by injury.

Will have the pleasure of never wondering if he could have done more as he always gave everything he had.

Close to AA until he ran into Sandilands at Subi late in 2010?

Always came across as a genuine person who thought of the club first.

I have always enjoyed watching him play and will always have fond memories of him. Great clubman and gave it all to the EFC until cruelly struck down by injury. Hope he still gets involved with the club in some capacity.

turned josh into a dog didn't he/
