Iam not talking about his juniors Iam saying if we see him as a ruck forward then I don’t understand wasting time as a defender this early in his career. It’s always easier to go from being a failed forward to a defender than the other way around. And IMO this is his wasting precious development stages
I think we just do it too often and too early in players careers instead of bedding down a spot becoming good then adding those extra layer later, I feel like we are doing it with Kako at the moment he is a ok small forward at the moment now they are pushing him through the middle.
Is a minder the same thing as a wing man?
I mean i get what your saying to a degree but Kako is a bad example, pushing him into the middle was the only thing that hot him into the game and also part of getting us going as a group
Edit: responded to the wrong comment but the point stands
The other part is who says they see him as a ruck/forward, I think there are many ways to develop a player and none are the only correct way, its about individuals needs and what is missing from the players repertoire
That’s fair and it’s purely an opinion thing really.
The club may just see him as key defender and that’s it
That’s interesting- not available for selection this week against Melbourne in the AFL,
But can play next week at either level.
