#2 Big Sammy Draper (from May 2024)

Too much like Joe playing for the Bears for my liking.

Are we going to win the flag in the next 2 years? No chance. Can Draper help Adelaide win it? Certainly.

We’ve got 5 rucks on our list and a Recruiting Manager wanting 3 years of hitting the draft. DO NOT OFFER MORE THAN 4.

I would happily take end of 1st round compo for him. We have enough ruck depth.

Nah fark that once you leave Essendon your just another opposition player

Imagine Draper bringing that BIG D-CK energy to a team full of BIG D-CK energy .

Well, if Manure is saying he’s going, then that’s the best indication yet that he’s staying.

Manure… the best (reverse barometer) in the business…

Has that bloke got anything right before.

He is not exactly elite, can any one see a bigger upside, or are we meant to be playing him up for better compensation

I’m not too worried if he leaves TBH. If they offer him 5x $1m surely we get a pick straight after our first pick? So if we have pick 6 then we get 7?

Never. He also said Carlton were flag favourites in 2025. Lol

Vigo is only a year behind being a Draper

Edit : At the most

I doubt he gets that big an offer

Essendons era of overpaying and over extending is supposed to have ended when Dodoro left.

Do we have any evidence of overpaying and overextending in the Rosa era?

If he was to trigger a first or end of first compo you would let him go in a heart beat.
Especially if your going after Reid and west coast require three firsts it would be perfect as we wouldn’t be impacting next years draft hand

If we offer 3 first rounders surley WC will let him go they wont get a better offer next year when he’s ooc

It would also mean west coast would have five first rounds picks this year that’s how you do a proper rebuild

What are we paying him currently ?

This AI ā– ā– ā– ā–  is beyond ridiculous

Sam Draper is expected to re-sign with Essendon on a long-term contract worth $800,000 per year. He is reportedly turning down rival offers, including one from the Adelaide Crows. The contract is expected to be a six-year deal.

When did McGrath get his 6 year deal?

Straight swap him for Fogerty.
