If WE had let TBC go, then WE would have been the ones receiving compensation, which if good enough, may have made us think twice about picking up a free agent of our own.
(PS. In full disclosure, I was entertaining letting TBC go, to use the compensation to pick up a young ruck option…but then I heard Leuey on the VFL coverage mention how old his body felt, and it scuppered my whole idea)
He was barely up to it last year, and would have shuffled a couple of steps backwards this year. That whole idea sounds half baked.
