Do you really think TBC or any other player would seriously flirt with form, to the extent they don’t put in the required effort?
I’ve seen TBC give some half assed efforts on many an occassion. More laconic than Ryder ever was.

With respct BBB ( and I do respect your opinions and analysis of games ) we dont actually know how often TBC plays injured, how good his recovery is between games. If his form does vary, are we in a position to judge how that relates to the competitors he has?
I agree, his form does vary, but for the above reasons, i dont know why. How can you be sure it is motivation or “care factor” based.

I’m very interested to see where he plays in the VFL.
I assume it’ll be Smack FF and Joe at CHF (or at least Smack slightly deeper forward than Joe) in the seniors.
I’d guess Clarke will play deep forward in the VFL, which pushes Stewart up the ground a bit, but I’ve been wrong once before.
Seen him at the gym in Port Melb doing extras at all hours lately. Despite Bellys nonchalant personality he takes his footy serious.

Depends how fit Joe is.
If he’s a bit underdone going into the year he might play deeper.
I don’t know if Z Clarke can play the deep, drop it on his head, forward but for mine he’s kinda battling it out with Smack as that forwards/back up ruck (as well as with TBell for the #1 ruck possie obv).
I don’t think T-Bell is in competition with anyone for ruck.
It would be fascinating to see who got the call-up if he was out for any reason though.
I know that’s kind of what we brought Clarke in for, but if Draper’s getting 40-50 taps per week and he’s Essendon’s number one VFL ruckman…
It’s all interesting and I can’t wait to see how the entire list goes this year, seniors and magoos.
