You have a pretty amazing team @Windy_Dill
Pick 16. Windy Dill - Tom Ruggles (Geelong)
I like this pick, however, since your squad is super strong. It may have been a good oppourtunity to go for a high risk/high reward pick in someone like Harry Perryman or Florent.
Pick 30. Windy Dill - Jesse Lonergan (Gold Coast)- Good pick for depth. He will play for GC as they do need seasoned bodies. Don't know how many games he will play but with the back elegibility and solid scores he would be handy. I guess you were eying Mackie? EVW would've been a slightly risker pick but I can see why you went Lonergan
Pick 34. Windy Dill - George Horlin-Smith (Geelong) - love this pick. Definitely inspired. He's a mature aged player now and has plenty of opporunity. I think he makes it as a regular 22 player for Geelong and consisten performer.
Pick 70. Windy Dill - Craig Bird (Essendon) - good for depth, both your team and Essendon. Proven scorer. Won't get as many opportunites as last year.
Pick 88. Windy Dill - Bailey Williams (Western Bulldogs) - wasn't on my radar at all but noted he was a high posession winner as a junior
Pick 106. Windy Dill - #Tendai M'Zungu (GWS) - Not sure about this pick both before and after the injury. Always injury prone not the best by foot. Plus a tough GWS side to break into. High risk / low reward.
Pick 122. Windy Dill - Shaun McKernan (Essendon) - good gamble. Luey is injury prone and SMack should score well while he is out. Improved heaps. Good get this late.
Pick 140. Windy Dill - Jordan Foote (Sydney) - no idea?
Pick 157. Windy Dill - Jesse Joyce (Gold Coast) - This is someone I was considering with my last pick. Suns training staff like him, should play 22 games this year - in a side that does needs players who can play in a pourus defense from last year.
Pick 171. Windy Dill - Claye Beams (Brisbane) - like it for a late pick. Had injury issues but has some upside, especially in a poor Lions side.
I like how you drafted - picked a few players for depth and a handful potential players who could make keepers in the long run if need be. I would've gone maybe a little riskier considering the team you had before the draft and where you finished but overall you have both talent and depth which should get you pretty far into the finals this year. The only thing in your way from the Granny could be injuries.
Good luck with the season but not too much!
