The Seagulls are saddened to lose club stalwarts Bernie Vince & Shannon Hurn, but wish them extremely well at their new home in Mildura.
Hurn, traded from the Fogtrotters during the middle of 2012, was an integral part of our defensive core and his leadership has been identified as one of the key reasons, the Seagulls have not yet landed on the Top 10 Highest Scores Against board, and have only been on the receiving end of Special Agent Johnny Utah's highest score. Hurn played 82 games for the club, which ranks him 13th on the all-time list.
Bernie Vince was drafted to Sunbury with Pick 144 in the 2008 Draft - probably the Seagulls best late pick in history. His record speaks for itself: 2009 B&F winner, 3rd place finisher in 2013 & 2014 and he played 159 games for the club - only behind Matt Priddis's 185. His larrikin nature has been a soothing balm during our poorer seasons and will sorely missed around the club.
