> Crunchas coach caught contacting competitor's champion charge in clandestine catch-up
Sunny Daily online edition 7/6/2017
Mildura Crunchas coach Mad Bomber was caught trying to tap up the Flying Dutchmen's superstar half back Bachar Houli. A source close to the action has leaked to the Sunny Daily online this blatant attempt to tap up a rival player. It was claimed from the source that it has been an unusual and perhaps desperate attempt by Mad Bomber to make his side a relevant force in the BBFFL. The source opined "...usually Mad Bomber has been a pretty patient coach building his club slowly but surely through the draft and the occasional trade...", however in a way of hastening up the process of making the Crunchas a better side largely based on some early season success in 2017, Mad Bomber has decided to strike while the iron is hot. It is thought that the recruitment of Houli would create some serious depth in the Crunchas backline following on from the recent acquisitions of McDonald-Tipungwuti as well as Bernie and Hurnie. (a previously perceived weakness prior to the commencement of this trade period was the Crunchas backline). It is thought that Lachie Hansen, Ryan Harwood and Jack Leslie aren't thrilled about the alleged approach by Mad Bomber to Houli.
Mad Bomber declined to respond directly to the line of questioning put to him from the Sunny Daily online, however he confided that if the Crunchas were to bow out in the first week of the finals again in 2017, they might be looked upon as the Richmond of the BBFFL.
On that he did say "The Mildura area was previously a part of the Richmond zone last century, securing superstars of the game like Mark Lee, Dale Weightman and Matty Knights for the Tigers, but that is where we want the similarities to end, now Fu@k off and leave me alone, you scumbags...and Yeah I am privately SEETHING that this stuff has got out into the public domain, must have been @Vandrs who tipped off the press about our threat to tap up Bachar Houli if he would not trade him to us for a packet of chips and a bottle of red cordial, geez I would even chuck in a few oranges and some avocadoes if that would help. ■■■■■■ @Wimmera1 and @dunlop would not have lowered themselves to such lows as this".
See for yourself, do you think Mad Bomber has a case to answer? Will Houli end up at the Crunchas?
