2017 MRP/Tribunal

Threw the elbow at his chin and IMO clipped him.

But hey! Whatever!

Wouldn’t have knocked a cigarette out of his mouth.

Reminiscent of that scab Carroll. He decked Lloyd about 5s before a siren, Lloyd gets up and pushes him back and Carroll puts in a golden globe performance; then dropped him in it at tribunal (when not being an arsehole at tribunal was a thing). Must be a demons thing.

Parker is lucky bags is not a ducking, diving , head throwing ****

Houli should’ve been suspended for 8 matches after that defense. Only got 2 weeks when 4 was recommended?

Used Wyatt Earp and the Prime Minister as character witnesses…

From Aly, via Michael Tovey: “He does this in the face of racial abuse, which Aly has seen time and time again.”

Michael Tovey referred to support from Aly, talking about Houli’s “humility and his gentleness”.

What has his personal life got to do with that act on field?

That’s legit one of the most pathetic suspensions handed down I’ve seen. Off the ball, whacks him in the head and knocks him out completely. IN THE HEAD. KNOCKED OUT. 2 WEEKS. IN THE HEAD. But they convinced everyone he’s a good bloke off the field so he gets away wit hit. Fck right off.

Schofield pushes him over and gets a week. In fact if he fails tonight it’ll be 2 weeks also.

And you’ll know they’ll probably let Schofield off. That way they don’t have to punish the dive but let Schofeld off.

Did they just play the religion card?

Yeah blowing on the man. Play on

Things have changed though.
Bickley, who also had the cleanest record ever, only got five for this.
Makes Houli getting two look reasonable.

Aly interfering with AFL feels like Rita Panahi being labelled and AFL expert… or Sam Lane a hard hitting journalist…just wrong.

And what is ■■■■■■ Turnbull doing? Not only does our money prop up the AFL, our taxes fund player character witnesses.

It was intentional and he knocked him out. Should’ve got a month.

Needs to be more Fark Carlton players knocked out!

Is Houli an even better bloke than Hodgey?

Yes, but not as courageous.

Schofield not guilty.

Conspiracy theory:

Umps had the choice of charging Schofield with striking or Oliver with diving.

AFL didn’t want to publicly tag a young star like Oliver with the ‘diver’ label, especially when he plays for Melb who they desperately want to be successful. They’ve got him in the waiting list for the ‘get out of umpiring free’ card that Judd and Goodes used to have. But it was obviously not a legit strike from Schofield.

Solution: make a report. If Schofield accepts the penalty, he confessed and so Oliver is proven to have not dived. If he challenges it and loses, he’s guilty so Oliver is proven to have not dived. If Schofield challenges it and wins, then video review has already taken place, it’s too late to bring diving charges against Oliver and it all conveniently goes away.

Bang on!

I actually it would play out that way before they found schofield guilty.

Typical AFL manufactoring a result that protects the image of the game.

What did we discover today? Houli is a protected species. The AFL are willing to risk public ridicule to protect him. Tomorrow the AFL will be making threats if any more articles are written about it.

Interesting vid on twitter. It appears Oliver had a previous moment of Days Of Our Lives melodrama
