It would be interesting to line up Bellchambers with the older senior guys, Phillips with the new seasoned guys, and Draper with the best of the younger players, and see which group performs best.
Myers is playing for Northcote Park.
Dammit, but with our latest batch of talls, it’s to be expected.
Box Hill sign another former Bomber in Mynott
If he is even half as good as his Dad was, he’ll do o.k.
Essendon VFL will feature prominently on the big stage next year, following the release of the 2020 Hard Yakka/Totally Workwear VFL fixture on Wednesday.
The VFL Bombers will be on the road in the opening two rounds, beginning their campaign against the Northern Blues at Preston City Oval on April 4 before a Good Friday match with Footscray at Victoria University Whitten Oval.
The Good Friday clash is the first showpiece game for Essendon VFL, which will share the big stage with the Bombers’ AFL side on three occasions: the Dreamtime Match against Richmond VFL at the Swinburne Centre, an Anzac Day clash with Collingwood VFL at Olympic Park Oval, and a curtain-raiser at the MCG against Casey to the round 7 AFL encounter with Melbourne.
The VFL Bombers will play seven games at spiritual home Windy Hill, with their first coming in round three against Williamstown.
They’ll also create history when they travel south to feature in Frankston’s first-ever game under lights at Skybus Stadium in round 11.
Under the guidance of new coach Mark Corrigan , Essendon VFL will be looking to go at least one step further in 2020 following consecutive preliminary final losses.

Round 5* Casey Demons MCG 12pm, Sunday, May 3
Ok, … I thought when the story said this, ..“Essendon VFL will feature prominently on the big stage next year, following the release of the 2020 Hard Yakka/Totally Workwear VFL fixture on Wednesday.”
That we were going to have a heapa.
WTF does the Big Stage mean if it doesn’t mean on the TV then?, …lol
Only once on telly, that’s crappy.
3x byes is poo
Club needs to invest in a live stream (with djr CC subtitles)
I see three obvious telecasts (the 2:10 starts and the Sunday VFL/AFL double header at the MCG). They fiddle with them during the season, though, so it could be more or less than obvious.
OK, so we may get to see them a couple more times.
Let’s hope.
Anybody here worried about the prospect of walking back to your car at 10 PM on a Saturday night in Frankston?
If your car is still there
No, because I’m not going to go. Stupid time for a game there.
Shut your clams!
