Im usually first to dump on the annual cringe-fest but considering the limitations that would have been put onto the pre-entertainment, that was pretty good.
I reckon the thing that makes the cringe cringe is actually the camera work and direction. Nothing more cringe zooming into a background extra when they’re not expecting it. Nothing worse than a camera man tilting his rig to make it look like he’s dancing, and nothing more cringe than a director adding effects that a 15 year old can do on his home computer.
