2021 round 10 vs Norf - game review

If you measure coolness by your number of Coles, sure.

Interesting that Will Phillips - North’s prize number two pick - couldn’t quite crack that star studded team.

I’m so glad they did that just for you

The mind boggles

We kicked 22 goals
Won by 12
McGrath Merrett and Parish were awesome but not one goal between the 3 of them!!

Phillips would have 10 games under his belt if we drafted him

I normally measure by the amount of Cool Music I’ve seen/heard, and amount of cool people I’ve met while doing so.

Is Bar 303 in Thornbury??

(Edit, nope, that’s Northcote too …)

But how many goals did they have a hand in? Merrett is equal first in the AFL for goal assists

that’s the beauty

we’d normally either blow this game, or win by 2 points

kicked 2 goals. both good ones.
14 disposals
9 marks

and probably ran 15kms as usual.

mmm, growing up watching footy in the 90’s Collingwood was easily my most hated club for what they did to us in 1990, I loved going to North and west coast games. They were what I’d consider in my opinion our biggest rivals. Things change we haven’t been successful enough in the last 20 years to have a good rivalry with anyone.

Personally I have no hatred for Carlton, one of my favourite memories was smashing them in 93.

Tarryn Thomas was good for them I thought.
They are lucky he fell into their lap as a academy player.

So where are the Snello haters this eve??

They held him and Ford back so they could get a win this weekend.

Heppell is doing a good job too, settling in well and working well with the rest of the backs. Quiet and simple.

Article said they cut the lead down to 30 points after the 3rd quarter. It was 40 points at 3/4.

They are lucky he was out there (after he was initially suspended earlier in the week).

I reckon he was the sole reason they weren’t 12 goals down at Half Time and didn’t end up losing by 100.

He was in some of his Essendon kit on his Instagram story a few weeks ago which made me really happy to see. Whether he makes an attempt to come back or not (Which I think is unlikely) I’d still love to see him around the club from time to time. Especially when international travel becomes a bit easier.

Always really liked Conor, as frustrating as his skills could sometimes be, he did become a very important part of our team a few years ago. Great effort being away from family & friends on the other side of the world for years playing a sport that was foreign to him. Plus, he was a great bloke to me the few times we spoke so I have a soft spot.
