Ew…no thanks.

29 next year … but maybe the Scott connection?

Didnt you want us to hit the draft, now your critiquing him for not making high end trades?

Especially last year where there were barely any trades done anywhere

At the very least, I want more picks.

He has done nothing. And he did nothing last year too.

I’m glad we had spots for Massimo, Menzies, Martin.

The club would be in constant dialog with Davey’s manager if he’s had interest from other clubs to understand where a bid might come from.

And this draft….I just dunno if it’s a great one to trade into.

He’s spoken about improving our draft hand for 2 years and we haven’t got close to improving it, even at last year’s draft we missed players we wanted in the 40s cause we couldn’t ā€˜improve our draft hand’

Just someone tough, who runs both ways every game.
Is an older head and knows how Scott works and what sort of system he runs.

Someone for the young indigenous boys to get around and help walk them through the first few years in the system.

We have lost that in Tippa, Cal stated Munkara spent time living with Tippa when he came and spent some time with the club.
We havent got anyone on the list for young guys coming through the system to lean on like that with our current list.

We did nothing in last years trade period aswell.

and yet carlton in a similar position last year brought in 3 pretty decent players, after bringing in high priced recruits the year before.

you could argue, once they got rid of Dodo lite (SOS) their ability to bring in decent players improved. funny that.

hard to shiel with is an all time trade thread name tho

I honestly don’t think he gets how to do it. I think it scares him.

the only way to get a better trade hand now is to sell the future (draft picks)
or trade out players.

if we traded out francis and did nothing else you could argue Dodoro improved our draft hand.
but if we bring in setterfield it helps us now.

last year we had to keep picks for father sons and glad we kept first rounder given it’s a early selection.
next year is a highly rated draft so makes sense to keep early picks.

yes there are clubs that are always looking to trade into the future (suns) mostly due to afl concessions they received. but imagine we trade out of next year then can’t trade back into it and miss a super draft.

Saucy-I agree that he doesn’t understand the system and how to it use properly to help Essendon. Over 20 years (think about that) and no success during that time. Why are the Panthers in the NRL great? It’s because of the great players they have. They lose Burton and still win the title. Dodoro’s job is to get us the best players. Has he done that?

Lies, most would call them.

I juts don’t think he knows what he’s doing.

Things just always seem to move around him.

It’s over for him in December, I think.

I like the Setterfield move, low risk high reward if he works harder and we give him opportunities in his best possie.
Hopefully he becomes a gun and ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  Carlscum in the process.
Seems Stocker won’t be getting another crack?
