Being âactiveâ can mean almost anything.
- We donât/didnât want to give up our first pick this year
- Our club is a â â â â show and embarrassment at the moment.
So with that in mind there is/was no chance of us bringing in a big fish.
Stop sooking about not getting anyone great in this trade period cause the 2 points above are the reality of where things sit.

Optics are everything. Footy dept messaging is just as much about reality as it is about managing public expectation while still selling the dream. But again intention doesnât always get results.
We could have been into all the major players getting thrown around but as soon as â â â â hit the fan like has been said already, noone of substance is going to nominate a club without a CEO and a coach while the president is making one public â â â â up after another.

I couldnât care less what he said. If he said we would be quiet and go to the draft and then we picked up Taranto and Dunkley I would have been very happy, wouldnt you? Its possible that at the time he thought we would be active and things changed since.

People are just bored and want a sugar hit. It will pass.
If we traded out all of our picks on a big fish the same people would be complaining when our first pick was in the 50s on draft night.

Personally i dont care about getting no one this year im just saying
Maybe we have been aggressive but havent managed to land a big fish. Aggressive doesnt necessarily mean being successful.
