2023 Finals Thread

IDK bloods are done.

He always smashes Moore

It’s hard to watch this finals season. Best case scenario we are in year 0 of something that will take many years after a generation of mediocrity, and I’m offered a choice between watching JoeDan, the Pies or Fark Carlton getting on the board. Supporting (or playing for) Essendon really requires the time and money to hit Europe in September.

That would involve winning at the MCG

I think they can, team to beat for mine

Why did you pause, you sicko?

Terrible mistake

C’mon Deez, ffs.

I honestly struggle to watch Lions games without ending up genuinely agitated, purely because of how good McCluggage is, everyone but our der of a list manager could see it.

Adrian has seriously butchered this club with horrid 1st round drafting, and somehow people find excuses for this mans incompetence.

Stockholm syndrome runs rife amongst the red and black

Lol no. I think everyone recognises how good mcluggage is.

I enjoy watching MCluggage play. It’s been 7 years or something? Move on.

The pressure on Melbourne this week is going to be next level.

Finished top 4 last year and went out in straight sets.

Now again a possibility this year.

Hopefully it will be galvanising enough for them to knock out Carlton on Friday night.

I hope Bris win it, i don’t even care about JoeDan anymore, in fact I’m glad he played well and hope he does for remainder.

This club couldn’t get him on the park for 3 years, and now he barely misses a game.

I think they did very well against the best side in the comp.
They dominated that second half. And the forward press was incredibly effective.
I don’t think Carlton can withstand that.

The only negative is that they won’t have Brayshaw for the game and I think Van Rooyen is a big loss too. They’ll need to bring in Ben Brown or someone who can force a tough matchup from Carlton. Tom McDonald is okay, but he’s nowhere near as good as he was two years ago.

I still don’t think Carlton were that impressive against the Swans to think they’ll get past Melbourne.

Absolute pathetic and a disgrace that Joe Daniher, is now performing at Brisbane, when he was at Essendon, not so like he is today. Same goes for McKenna, different reason, sort of, I get the feeling that they both wanted to be somewhere other than Essington in the end. Until some real changes occur, and we have players from other clubs wanting to come to us, this is probably going to keep happening. Losing good players who will probably play in a GF in another side, does hurt.

Even though this makes me laugh, we have zero right to laugh at them anymore, we are worse than them and by a fair margin.

That is genuinely very very funny.

Who comes in for Brayshaw?

This is pretty crazy. Somehow got a 5-7 week return to play prognosis down to a 2 week absence (1 match and the bye).
