Method in their madness, tried to get Australia’s largest inland city to become Swans supporters, the closest ground for the ACT, plus giving priority to Swans games on FTA TV in the ACT years before the GWS was established.
One day there was an uproar at showing a Swans game instead of an Essendon Carlton clash, threats to boycott all advertisers, they switched to the Essendon Carlton game after Quarter time.
Those were also the days when you couldn’t get the Vic games on the radio, Swans or NRL on the sport programs.
