Scratch him off the list
Is he capable as a Forward? Could he beat that elusive modern power forward/ruck hybrid everybody is looking for?
He hasn’t played enough as a forward to be confident in it
Onley i liked early days but we haven’t really heard much about him. He could be another frejiah going by that video, even though Frejiah was more outside as a junior.
Missed champs because of injury but is there any prospect of Jevan phillipou getting a senior sanfl game
We need a genuine half back flanker with a good kick. Is that so hard to ask for? Surely we can snag one with our two top 10 picks.
Yes, he will play seniors.
I hate this so much.
I could live with the eagles but not Richmond
I think its great - who do you reckon Eagles will take with pick 2 assuming they have it and any ideas on what Richmond would take at pick 3 and 4?
I really like sharp for us but I don’t think we get that lucky.
I honestly have no idea iam not an expert at all but is they did have 1 and 2 and they took sharp at 1 I could see them taking CDT at 2
Richmond who knows
Do we really need an in and under midfielder? I think we need creative types. Sam Cumming could be good for us
we’ll probably take abraham tastas instead of him or guiness humphrey
I’m talking RFA and trade specifically, a full FA can do what they want, we’ve gone half preggers with the NFL system but we stop at letting any market forces correct these two key levers, while meanwhile compromising the draft. I just don’t see how many of the bottom half teams ever actually get enough talent together to turn it around far enough without big licks of consecutive years of good draft + luck (academies, Father suns) etc.
I want Greeves and Onley.
Dovaston was an energizer bunny throughout the game but especially in the first quarter. He did a lot right but tended to spray his opportunities at goal and ultimately that inaccuracy prevented him from having a bigger impact. He showed admirable intensity at the contest and the work rate to get up the ground to influence play around the wings and through the middle with creative hands and ability to fight through contact.
It’s a real shame that Jevan Phillipou missed the National Championships with injury. I think of all the players outside that top few, he’s got the most attributes that I’d like to get in the door at Essendon.
He’s got speed and power, is good overhead and at ground level. Is damaging and dual sided by foot. And his SANFL U/18 numbers are very good.
The doubt is on his production capability against higher standards.
As it stands, I’d be using our second first round pick on him provided he maintains U/18 form and shows an ability to translate in some senior opportunities.
For me, he projects as the player we wanted Perkins to be as that powerful and damaging half forward / midfielder.
Using first rounders on injury prone project players? Oh boy…
Jevan broke his arm so hardly injury prone
What are your thoughts on Phillipou @Aceman?
I’ve commented many times on here on how much I’ve rated him since watching him at U16’s level. I really like what he offers and have little doubt that without his injury he would have had a very good national champs and pushed for that top 20;spot or higher
