2025 draft spec (Part 1)

10-20 for me

Apart from Johnston who I think could be a very good player, I don’t rate the other 3. My point was more about the bizarre decision to drop the youngest kid on the list to play a bloke who you would chop a couple of weeks later. You couldn’t even argue he was going back to the VFL to improve in any areas.

Thanks - wasn’t sure how much exposure he had at senior level.

So that we wouldn’t lose by over 100pts!!

Johnson is too good to be pigeonholed at half back, same with Roberts, Lindsay would be a great addition.

Yep, Johnson is a freaking gun. He’ll be consider one of the best kicks in the league within a couple of years.

It’s a real weapon

best kick on the list right now,

I fear that Brad wont lock him in to regular senior footy next year which he absolutely should.

When Brad is gone the new coach will recognise this.
Just hope we don;t have a Houli situation if he doesn’t play him and Hird trying to get him to stay.

In the context of the points being made, what does that even mean?

With all our players defecting, Brad will have no option but to play him.

Has anyone got access to this article?

We cannot bring in too many good kicks.

Not too much speed or good kicking allowed.

I like the look of Jack Cook. SA vice captain, Woodville-West Torrens Captain. and a raking left footer. He looks to be a proper, skillful and smart footballer and leader. He was one of the best on ground in last week’s unexpected WWT win over Central Districts in the first week of finals. Can highly recommend watching that game. SANFLnow has a free trial week. Phillipou played well in that game too, though he looked hampered somewhat by a tag. Another WWT player who looked good to me was Lachlan Sands; did a lot to get them over the line towards the end of the game. WWT play Sturt in the Prelim tomorrow where all the aforementioned are playing as well as some Sturt draft hopefuls. Interestingly, the three I’ve mentioned from Woodville-West Torrens are named across the centre line: Cook (centre), Phillipou (ruck rover), and Sands (rover). I assume Cook will swap between the half-back line and the centre, like he did last week. Anyway, enjoy your weekends

Another addition to our 2025 hyphen brigade, mature age prospect Latrelle Sumner-Pickett was reportedly a potential target for clubs in the mid-season draft and will have done his chances of getting picked up no harm with this exciting recent senior SANFL debut performance. Kicking 4 goals and helping to set up a number of other scoring moves for Glenelg, LSP was perhaps at his most impressive when he was able to run with ball in hand, dodging and weaving past opponents.

You mean to tell me that this guy was available when we had a zillion picks at the MSD and we thought … na, fark it, I like the look of Oskar Smartt? Makes sense.

In any case, bring this cvnt into my team.
