My mate who’s a Saints supporter reckons they’ve already started tanking, and the supporters are desperate for pick 3.
Theyre sick of missing top talent, because their picks are usually mid-range first round.

Yeah and I can understand that from their perspective.
I just hope they can muster a win or two before the year is out. They’d be doing well to somehow lose all three games against North, us and the Tigers.
The issue will be is if they win just one of those, we could also win one of our matches to come against Carlton or the Saints themselves. We shouldn’t given our injury toll and how disgusting we look (see Saturday night) but I still don’t trust us.
North on the other hand are pathetic and I’ve given up on them jumping us. Especially if Xerri is gone for a few weeks.

The Saints should beat our vfl team even if they don’t want to to slip past us. They didn’t look like a team that wanted to lose yesterday

I do think we should probably at the veyr least get one of Sharp or Greeves. They’ll both play round 1 2026 as they’re a great size. I can’t remember the last time we drafted a midfielder with a body ready to compete from day dot.
I honestly think Sweid will be a great acquisition. He is a very smart footballer. He is always summing things up and makes good decisions. We significantly lack that within our side and midfield especially.
I do get the comparisons to the meatball from Richmond, but I honestly think Sweid looks to be a more complete player.
