I just want some rare fixtures that we havenā€™t had in previous years. Donā€™t care about difficulty when weā€™re no good anyway. Some fixtures we havenā€™t had for a while:

  • A day game against Richmond (hasnā€™t happened since 2016, understandably due to Dreamtime and lack of double-ups)
  • A day game in Perth
  • A night game at the MCG against Hawthorn
  • A day game at the SCG (if we have to play there)
  • Adelaide to be the random interstate side that we play at the MCG for the year

At least give me some variety to my misery.

Itā€™s been a while since the annual post-Anzac day loss to the Dees at Marvel. I donā€™t think weā€™ve beaten them there since the Knights era.

We were robbed of a North Melbourne fixture at the Gā€™ in 2020 due to COVID. Iā€™d like to play them there next year.

I donā€™t know what Nino said but I will say thisā€¦ Thereā€™s plenty of posters putting out stuff around Blitz that probably deserve bans that donā€™t. I qualify that by saying I donā€™t know what Nino said btwā€¦ Poor Nino, he will be back.

Apart from our ā€œmarqueeā€ games next year, we are going to be totally shafted with the fixture now for 2025.
We just canā€™t be trusted. Lots of Sundays, no Friday nights and the most or equal interstate games of the 18 clubs.

Possibly, but the AFL also knows that we will probably still pull crowds early in the year while the masses still have hope that it will be different this time. The days/times for the last 7 rounds arenā€™t decided until very late, so the AFL donā€™t have to gamble as much anymore.
