I put Xerri on the bench because what if he did a knee in the first? He didn’t. So I can sub Sweet out straight away. But what if?

Way, way too good for us @wimmera1 Congratulations on the win and most importantly on your foray in to sports journalism. I don’t think “astute roster manager” has ever been an accurate description for me. More like passionate and occasionally lucky fool. We were in really good form for us, coming in to the finals (we had a score close to 1600!) and I think we did way better than my expectations pre-season. A straight sets exit is not a great way to go out but I would have probably taken that at the start of the season. Good luck to everyone who is still going, even those plucky Pimpino Tigers.

I’m up against it this week. Looks like all of Foggy’s players are coming back and I’m playing a few C-graders. Still a chance, though. But I’ll need a lot of my guys to play at their best.
