That was the chance to bring him in and play him next to McKay who was also in really good form at the time. I said so at the time. He’s in form, his confidence will be up, get him in for a taste
We always do this, find excuses not to pick young guys in form. Then pick them later in the year in desperation when they’re more tired and they’re form is patchier and the team as a whole is struggling and, surprise surprise, they don’t perform, their confidence suffers and fans pay them out.
