We can’t say with any certainty how much time in the 2’s was the right amount for that player, we can have an opinion for sure and it can’t be disproven but we can’t know.
What we can say for certain is Roberts is producing right now. I think you, me and Scott would all be pleased with that.

I didn’t realise there was an Archie Roberts who played for Essendon in the 30s. Died in the Second World War. 184cm defender tallied 12 games for us.

His agressive/attacking kicking (which I like) is part of the reason for those numbers also. We have enough players who are risk averse, stunting offense chipping sideways and backwards.

I love that Archie was given the number 21 after our club legend. I think it shows the faith they have with this kid.
