Happy for him to continue getting games, but at Essendon, which players actually improve their kicking over time? Doesn’t seem to happen.
Last week he was in our best, this week he was a bit off especially in the 1st half. I rate him
Ridiculous comment, have you seen our injury list?
Not remotely close to being dropped, and I love his general endeavour, but he has too many moments when he gets sloppy. A few of his kicks, and another example when he fumbled the ball over the boundary line last night, under no pressure, taking his eyes off it. There are things that can be fixed, and I’m sure they will be.
Looking forward to seeing him with 80 games under his belt, it’s easy to forget that last night was his 17th game.
Exactly he didn’t have a great game yesterday but his performance overall this year has been great. No way are you dropping him. Remember we are plying with a makeshift backline at present so once some reinforcements return he will get better. I suspect like other youngsters he will appreciate the bye. It’s funny many on here were saying Champion Data was BS when it said Redman was a top 10 kick in the comp while Archie was in the bottom 10 of the comp.
Just watched the replay. He had only one bad kick that turned it over (in the last quarter). The rest of his kicking was fine.
Tsatas has significantly improved his kicking.
He looks like he should be a good kick, but I don’t think he actually is. Is their another Rath out there?
In saying that he has had a very good season and he is an undoubtably an exciting prospect.
Which compared to Merrett off the HBF is a much better record.
There are several issues that this team needs to sort out. Archie Roberts ain’t one of em.
This place gets really stupid after losses.
Calling for Roberts to be dropped is one of the worst takes Ive ever read on here.
Genuinely that bad.
You start dropping players for missing a couple kicks and you get players who’ll never take the game on by foot. All time bad take.
We ain’t shooting for fine.
Every part of his game is very good, or will become very good with a couple of years in the gym and some matches under the belt.
If he can develop his kicking so that it gets from A to B quicker than it currently does, he’ll be a jet.
I hope Tsatas comes in for Durham
Roberts is 2nd favourite to win the rising star.
I have him pegged as a future AA.
Future leader
Good lord!
The only thing with his kicking is it’s a little bit too flat and lacks pentration . I don’t reckon he can kick effectively when he has to kick longer than about 40 mtrs
