#21 Archie Roberts - thru 2026

I find that blocking specific Blitzers helps.

Bloke won the rising star as a HBD then we waste him for a few years trying to turn him into a midfielder.

You gonna leave now?

He was midfield before wing.

His midfield form wasn’t bad.

Wing totally not his go.

We did. He started with us as a half back, played well, we tried to turn him into a midfielder and he sucked. Isn’t that what happened?

Honestly, one specific blitzer.

James Hird was taken at pick 79…what does anyone know about draft rankings?

No, not really.

Mid form was good as an inside mid.

Then got injured, when he came back he was anpparently ann outside mid.

Sucked at that role.

Good players can come from anywhere but using drafting from 33 years ago as an example is a waste of time.

Andy played a lot of wing across 2018 and 2019 as we got Saad in 2017. Andy moved to the midfield in 2020

If nothing else he gets his head up and has look, quick to check both sides of the field and corridor if he has enough time. It’s a good trait to have

6.7 clearances pg. Doesnt say they were centre clearances though, could have been back half clearances :stuck_out_tongue:

Yes, works a treat!!

He could get away with that if drafted by certain other clubs, but that will be a massive fail at EFC.

Let’s see what a full year with a new coaching group and footy management yields before we write off a starting 22 player and a kid we just drafted. Many an early draft pick has come good under the right system. My recollection of McGrath was being able to turn up late in the game with the same run he had at the start. Have not lost faith in Andy, will be integral if we can sustain team footy 4 qrtrs every week

I think I found the weakness in your logic re development at EFC

We’d better not draft Bewick in a few years then…
