Dys, is a great bloke, but having followed he and his wife on the socials for some time, I seriously think he’s punching well above….

Very good guy, what a time to spend your career at Essendon. Loyal, brave and genuine. A Bombers champ who deserved far far better than what he got.

You are selling the man way short, if you think that is all there is to him. He spoke very well and in depth about his career and his singular ability to look at everything in a positive manner, even though the time he spent leading the team was the toughest any captain in the league has had, ever. Then he spoke glowingly of young Haytch and how inspiring this kid has been along the journey.
How different he was to the first guest on tonight, head honcho of the AFL, Andrew Dillon. The man was a walking, talking cliche. Every answer was like it was direct from a typed script and he dared not deviate from it for moment, bland middle management speak from start to finish. TBF to the panel, they didn’t let him off easily, and were not afraid to ask some pointed questions. The answers however, were very predictable cut and paste jobs. He is the most vanilla of all AFL heads.

Dys was brilliant- so proud of all he has achieved both on and off the field. A top quality human being.
