It was more the thinking about Moz’s frame of mind that I was talking about. Being away from home, facing 12 months of rehab for a massive unknown at the end. Sure an extra year would still be an unknown, but at least he can put that bit of concern out of his mind.
We would have to delist him first.
(He would just be ‘out of contract’.)
If he’s uncontracted, he is not on our List, … therefore “De-Listed”.
Ben was just joking about it btw. As if we’d not contract him at all and have that be the case, yet still having him at the club re habbing as if a Listed/contracted player … whew. ![]()
Mountain out of molehill stuff
If Moz/manager weren’t happy with it would have fielded external offers and put pressure back on EFC to increase term/$ etc
Pure paranoia he won’t be offered another contract or will be poached at end
classic blitz
Ok, I’ll rephrase that.
Maybe the coaches don’t think he’s going to make it as an AFL player. It takes more than some electric skills to have an AFL career.
Speaking of Walla turns 28 in April
Considering he started his career at a late age and seems not to cop injuries I’m hoping he can play till his mid 30’s
If you were the Moz, who would I be able to make jokes about ?
And you look more like Geoff Blethyn than a Moz !!
Sorry what?
Eh.
Personally think it’s wrong. Either the door or two years. - My preference is the former.
Ok. Can you outline your reasoning for that opinion?
I just don’t rate him enough to want to retain him. Would rather gift his spot to one of the mid fielders who missed out.
He looks an amazing talent to me, and I could see him growing out of the pure small forward role.
There seems to be this idea that anyone who’s not a KPP has to be 6’1”, 85kg, strong overhead and able to run all day.
Mosquito will never be any of those things.
I think Mozzie will spend alot of time at the club and at games supporting and getting closer to the rest of the boys.
He will learn alot from the physios and trainers about his body and preperation.
He will more understand the game plan from watching alongside the coaches.
He will absorb more about nutrition, mindfullness ect from the various departments.
He will rehab well and be ready to go in 2022 with a new contact and a big smile.
Anyone else think benfti is getting close to parody account status?
The second this bloke did his ACL he was only ever getting one year. Why on earth would you give him 2?
We’d have people complaining about him being the next Jackson Merrett/Clarke if we gave him 2 (in before “he has so much more ability”)
No.
Three isn’t seven.
and to me
Do you remember Dean Rioli? His first game in 1999 vs Sydney was a ripper.
Mozzie will be as good as him
