i listen to david myers and think he is a great bloke.
he plays the role we are poor at.
i dont understand how shallow afl talent is that a top 10 draft pick can only kick on one side of his body.

If we are playing to win against Carlton he is definitely in. If we are playing for five years from now he is out. For good.
I believe we should now focus on the latter. We are a rabble.
David Myers pretty much sums up the last 18 years of the EFC for me.
Recruiting phase:
Nice bloke, great bloke… truly believe he loves this club.
High promise, lots of potential… good size.
Middle career:
Injuries and more injuries
Game styles changed and no longer suits big bodied slow midfielders…
Never really developed and instead went backwards
Picked irrespective of form
Currently:
No potential growth left
One Sided
One paced
Prone to turnover
Lack vision, imagination and flair
Is picked irrespective of form
Is a ‘club leader’
Panic merchant

I wholeheartedly agree that he is usually “not our worst” but he is exactly the kind of bit player that should have been cut from the list years ago. Having said that… who knows where his career would go if he had been drafted elsewhere… you look at a guy like Melksham… and he is now playing reliable and good footy.
Myers isn’t the problem precisely but he embodies everything I currently hate about our club. Tired selection policies, one paced midfielders that are extremely limited, tendency to go missing for large periods…
