Is well down on last weeks effort, hope he comes into it in the second half
Didn't get as much of the ball as last week, but I thought he played a much better game. Was very important in the stoppages. Very happy to see him hoof that goal at the end
So Myers asked to dropped earlier in the season as he felt his form and mental state were not right and he needed to play in the VFL to get things right. That from both Bruthe and Tim Watson.
Had an ok second halfSuper important player for us - if he gets back to his best then watch out!!!
I thought he was fantastic tonight. Just his strength around the stopagges was top notch. The number of times he striped the ball at clearances and forced repeat stopagges will not earn him stats but it really set us up and stopped then getting clean ball out of the stopagges.
Yep, it's not all about stats, it is about the 1%'s
I know a lot it's said about his left hoof, but Myers handball and work around the contest is much more important. Solid game.
Don't be fooled by the stats. Myers with the help of Bird killed St Kilda at the stoppages....there just wasn't many of them, it was that type of game.
Similar players Ross, Stevens and Steele all had low numbers too.
If Myers gets back to his best he makes us a better side. Starting to show signs of it.
Myers and Bellchambers were the difference in the middle.
Never ever ever thought I would hear anyone say that.
Looks a totally different player to the one that we saw earlier in the season.
Loved that goal to finish the game.
Maybe Myers is on Blitz
Should've offered him five years......
Haven't heard that happening at EFC since Jason Johnson's last season when he was in a bad run of form & Sheeds wouldn't drop him.
As I mentioned in a previous thread, this happened just before the Swans game & it's a pity he wasn't replaced by Bird
Also how about outmarking Riewoldt, but then getting jipped by the umps? I didn't think he could mark over his head?
He's been hanging to contribute a goal - I'm glad he got one.
Yeah that was a disgrace that decision. Went back with the footy turned and used his knee to push reiwolt out for a grab, buddy did that they would be calling it mark of the year.
Loves a clearance.
Three or four blokes hanging off him at times and he almost never goes to ground. Absolute unit
