Doesn’t this club realise he is a long way off AFL standard? Doesn’t anyone at the club watch him play? Should be the first bloke gone in the clean out at the end of the year

good to see selection integrity continues with solomon, i really hope he isnt considered for the main job

In before he puts together 6 quarters that makes the club think he’s going to be really good, and then gets injured

Jones best at VFL level is 2.2, he hasn’t played many vfl games.
Edwards only played 2 VFL games and has a 5 goal haul.

Voss 5 goals VFL Ess 6 goals Freo vs Pies
Baldwin Best 5 goals for Essendon, 6 for Port

That was what I was thinking

Surely this is his one chance to shine, last chance, please.

The guy’s stuffed but at least give the club their due, he’s only been used once we’ve run out of literally anyone else.

Jones might be the case if going tall was the only option, but it isn’t.

Not sure why some are raging over dropping Edwards and brining in Jones…??

Jones taller & a much better marking option than Edwards - averages 4 a game compared with Edwards 2.6…They are about even in other stats that matter - disposals both ~9 a game, and for goals Edwards is just ahead at 1.2 per game, while Jones averages 0.9 BUT he has spent much more time on the wing and in other roles..

Both have had their injury issues and are about the same age & Jones is much more experienced AFL player..

I dont see the big issue here - they are pretty much like for like and I’m not against giving Jones a go..!!

Jones to CHB as the last and final chance to show something as an AFL footballer

I think you make the exact point - stats similar whilst one plays majority deep forward and the other on the wing. Pretty damning in my opinion

gresham is more experienced than Huss, so by that logic he should be in the side, right ?

I don’t think i’ve seen anyone specifically “rage” over jones for edwards, it’s why the ■■■■ is jones in at all ?
he’s not in good form in the 2’s, he’s an average and limited player to begin with, and some of us are still scarred by the fact that he failed as a forward, and our stupid coaching panel moved him to a wing to fail there also, and now they want to revisit that masterstroke, because this time it will apparently yield different results.

If anything, people are “raging” at the stupidity of our coaches, which it’s proving very quickly was not limited to Brad scott and all his doing.

Well, unlike most Blitzers it seems, I’m very pleased to see Harry Jones return. He was on the verge of taking a big step forward towards the player we all wanted him to be, when disaster struck last year.

Give him a good run for a few weeks I reckon, then say sayonara if he can’t perform at the required level. If he can finally reach his potential, both he and Cox could still be very useful players.

Good luck, Harry.

Coaches don’t just select the side to keep moaners happy.
He’s fit finally, he’s got time to prove if he’s worth keeping at the end of the year, contract or no contract.

Just hope he get his chance and that injury curse he carries, ■■■■■ off!

I always thought he might make a good CHB, kind of like Hurley Justin Leppitch, who both started up front but found their true niche in the back-line.

Sadly, I don’t think he ever recovered from that missed set shot goal vs Collingwood in the 4th quarter. Combine that with a poor attitude, and he has wasted his opportunities.

But, he might find it easier to negate the play than try and make the play. So CHB stopper could be his best bet.
