Seeing they both play for Essendon, I wish both of them the best of luck. If Harri could return to the form of 21 it would vastly improve our forwardline.
Who is harri
Every December or January people say Jones looks bigger.
But to me he always looks the same.
Theyāre not looking at his arms
From those angles, he doesnāt look any bigger at all- maybe just a tad more defined
Proof of the pudding will come throughout the pre-season, in his training and games.
So he has lost weight ?
Jones will never be 2MP. What he is IMO is an upgrade on the dud from the Demons, eg: can mark, can try, can run, can tackle
Harry has definitely put muscle on ā¦ā¦great sign ā¦.and Hunter looks like heās a strong lad
Seriously though, you would expect that a 17 year old would gain muscle mass after being in an elite fitness program for 4 years. The question is not whether he has put on muscle, the question is whether his body is at the point where it allows him to do the things we need out of a leading forward.
Id say the issue that has hurt him the most is the role he has had to play is not to his strengths. I see him as a Nick Reiwolt type who uses his engine to get more involved. Instead, hes had to play the contested chf down the line type as we havent got a break in case of emergency big boy who will at least half a contest.
Riewoldt was no Cloke but he could still halve making contests. Iām pretty bullish on Jones once he gets a good run at it he will be very handy.
Thereās the problem. Ours is bush league standard
Kids come in running 6-6:30 2km time trials and then get injured and go back wards (Cox)
Perkins 2km time trial surprised me a bit too, expect to see him near the front in preseason
It actually hard to do when you have to run so much, its a real considered effort to hit the weights effectively and eat enough, if his commitment is questioned and he is already lanky it wouldnāt be easy. Especially if he prioritises his running capacity more.
Heās been skipping leg day compared to Hunter
Harsh on bush leagues.
We need S&C coaches in asap who actually have an idea about bulking up athletes. Jones is the same skinny dude in those pics hes been the last 3-4 years
Cue a return for The Weapon.
