Why wouldn’t a footballer, skilled enough to play league footy, lower the eyes, and nail the easy, 20 metre option intuitively?
Ok, maybe their instincts need work. No biggie. So then why aren’t the fkn coaches teaching them to play this way?
I must have seen it happen 3 or 4 times against the GC. Why wouldn’t they do this all the time?

He had his moments but he skirks contact, fumbles, and butchers a lot of kicks.
He’s a vfl player at best, and we have better prospects at every single position Brad has tried to shoehorn him in

I’m by no means suggesting he be promoted, but I think you’re being a bit harsh on his game. He had a pretty big impact.

Based on AFL output so far, he and Edwards are similar. The harry Jones criticism has been that he doesn’t impact enough up forward, and when played on the wing his numbers were low.
So far Edwards numbers in the forward line are low. He has got some opportunistic goals but he hasn’t made a big impact in any game and when played up the ground made little impact.
Both have good defensive traits, Edwards a better kick for goal. Edwards deserves a longer stint to compare better, but on current trends they are very similar players.

Then we can promote Edwards.
Jones probably needs some more matches, or to at least play a full VFL match first.
