That worked a treat for Jobe.
It’s encouraging to see him getting himself off to a good start with his new club. But that early enthusiasm of a new beginning needs to last the distance. Which has been his problem. We want him to take it through the whole pre-season when things get extra difficult. And then through the season proper. And not just this year, but for a number of years. Where life, off and on the field, will come and challenge you. He’s such an explosive player and we want him to succeed, because if he does he’ll make us very competitive. He’s going to give the club and supporters a very exciting ride. May the fist pumps and broad grins of arrogant satisfaction pulsate through the Essendon fans over many years.
