Played very well in the vfl this year getting those late twenty/thirty touches off half back.
Also isn’t afraid of of a contest which is a welcome change for us and should be a good Heppell replacement or allow us to move Martin

I don’t mind prior, think Bris at first tried him as wing. But he’s a fine pick up as a Kelly replacement (hopefully better).

Defensive pressure seems to a be a "weakness of a few of our recruits this year. Obviously something the coaches think is a very fixable issue. His strengths suggest this could be something he can easily work on. Good luck to the young fella.

I always liked his Dad as a player. Played 11 games in the 2000 team, wasn’t far off being a premiership player but couldn’t cement a spot in our backline because of a couple of damn good players in Hardwick and Mark Johnson.

Seems Jaxon has had a similar situation in Brisbane. Hopefully it works out better for him here than it did for his Dad when he moved to West Coast.

This does make a lot of sense.

I think main guys across half back will be Martin, Roberts, Redman and El-Hawli. If one goes down, having Prior means we aren’t reliant on Lual, Clarke, or maybe Johnson to play that role. We can just focus on their development in the short term.
