Well the rush is Collingwood.
We need May to commit by signing an extension, or we are wasting our tiime and effort on him. Collingwood wanted him at the mid season draft, and still do, and there is a strong likelihood he wants to go there - he was/is a mad Collingwood supporter. So if we offer him say 2yrs on good money, and his manager goes to Collingwood, they are likely going to match or better it. And he may well want to go.
So it is sensible for us to want him to resign early, because if he doesn’t, it’s the vfl for him until he goes at the end of the year.

Really impressed with his effort and intensity. Showing real signs as a contested mark and he adds a lot to our fwd structure with Wright in the ruck. There’s a lot to like here after 12 games.
