LOL A journo telling a porkie, never could happen !
Well said. Disgraceful.
Yes, they should only give info or scuttlebutt to WD
Same injury as Wright?
We know what happened after that Wright not the same player anymore
Your positivity never ceases to amaze.
Nothing ever goes right for us why should i change now
Maybe if you look for a few positives, things might start to change.
We are all suffering and having ups and downs; but, we still need to try to look for positives.
I’ve been trying to look for positives for like 20 years haha
No. Absolutely not.
If Caddy blocks Ginbey and provides space for May to take the mark, the ball still passes 1m over May’s outstretched arms.
Sure, he wouldn’t have dislocated his shoulder. But considering May was nowhere near it, suggesting he had right of way is simply absurd.
If May was in position to mark, I agree. But he most definitely was not. That shoulder injury is entirely on May.
Season over for May. Shocking news for the bloke.
Good they have made the call now.
Might mean there is a chance to debut Gerryn as a ruck forward soon and can see if its worth while having Jones, Edwards, McMahon or Cox on the list.
It’s really sad that he needs surgery , but he is absolutely part of the forward line over the next few years so get him right for preseason.
That is a very concerning injury for a player with pure overhead contested marking as his primary elite trait.
I was just thinking the same thing.
Significant injury for sure but reckon Archer’s singleminded focus on footy will see him make a successful return. He will do the rehab, regain full range and build up strength in the area. The kid won’t be cutting any corners. He’s desperate to make a career out of the game. He’s resilient, had a few setbacks in his time but remains unwavering in his intent on making a mark in this comp now that he’s finally on a list.
Disappointing news, but if there is a silver lining the broken bone means we are now focused on setting him up for long-term success rather than trying to push him through in the short term. The development he’s shown over the past 12 months since joining the list has been outstanding - something we haven’t seen consistently in a long time. His contest work, second efforts, and especially his goal kicking have been real highlights.
He should be ok with a good recovery period.
So standard Essendon injury news this morning that its as bad as it can be.
Horrible for the lad, but as others have said is now an integral piece of this side moving forward so best to get him right, shame he be robbed of another 10 games development.
May’s season ends on 31 May.
Needs to change his name to Archer September.
