Yeah, Nah. modern football is about the output of the whole forward line working together, not individual goal tallies. They would much rather the goal tally is a combination of all forwards contributing with little emphasis on 5 goal hauls.

Give him one more year . Has stuck by us and deserves it . But he needs to be aware he is likely playing twos and coaching kids on ground . If we need him at FF to bring Jones etc through he is worth keeping. Hurley canāt do it he is cooked as well. . I doubt Francis will be at the club. With Shiel , Parish , Stringer, Caldwell, Merrett etc playing mid where does Langford fit. Maybe he can take the FF post
Imagine this situation. We donāt pick up a tall forward in the off season. Not saying Hooker is there all season. Just saying heās handy playing a role when required. Heās not going to clog the list. Has been a loyal person to the club. Iāll even mention through the shittest scenario imaginable. Let the guy come in here and there and stay on the track with the younger blokes. Heād do it for a packet of chips (relatively speaking) and thatās why we love big Hooksey.
No. The Chook has been a great servant of the Club, but he is cooked. Weād be better off looking to the future and playing Jones at CHF, 2MP at FF, Draper as 1st ruck and Nick Bryan as 2nd ruck off the bench.

Sign him up for VFL then, let him train the kids. We wonāt have room on the senior list for both him and the Bear.

I donāt know, of course. How happy would he be just running around in the VFL and coming in when required? Thatās still on the proviso we donāt get another tall marking option forward or Hurls doesnāt come good (largely in the same boat). I get the feeling heād be fine doing whatever heās asked to do. I donāt want to bang on about it but heās the rare selfless player who just likes being around the club. If heās the 40th player to come into the side on small coin heād do it. I say give him that if thatās the scenario. It canāt hurt. Heās very handy depth at the least.

Hooker is still by far our most dangerous tall fwd. Who gets the number one best tall defender each week? He has had a great season.
Stays on if he wants too. Our tall fwds are very young we need him as backup next year at the least.

You mean like a few years ago maybe 2017 at Docklands where Hooksy took a mark on the goal line vs the Bulldogs and rather than go back and slot the certain goal he drops it onto his boot to tap it in but kicks it directly into a Dogs player FFS
It was way worse than the Daniher handball off last year
Great servant but now close to the tipping point where, if he gets games and plays poorly, you start to get some of the discontent experienced in the hub last year amongst the younger players.
He wonāt be there in 2021

You said he wouldnāt be clogging the list. Having him for insurance/depth in a development year is almost the definition of clogging the list.
Sorry, but this isnāt about his happiness. Its about what is best for the club.
