#27 Mason Redman - till end 2028

Why is a fish’s arse water tight?

what the hell is fish arse water?

Comes from a fish who’s eaten a dodgy vindaloo the night before?

Watched him closely on Saturday night. Plays like he doesn’t want to be there. No care.

Compare this to a few years ago.

He’s copped a bit this week in the MSM for his poor defensive pressure and positioning. Not just in last week’s game but he hasn’t been near his best tbf this year.

Whatever the reason(s) I’d love to see a big game from this fella on Fri night. A response as a senior player whom this club and supporters have backed in. One with unconditional desperation to defend, hard at the contest, plenty of niggle to get the Swans forwards ■■■■■■ off, and some of his signature run and gun. An early goal and intercept or two is what the Blitz doctors are ordering thanks Reddog.

Maybe his VC who plays alongside of him can you know, show some onfield leadership at let Redman know what he should be doing if he’s not doing it.

McGrath (after he just busts his gut running down a gold coast player): Hey Mason, can you at least pretend to look like you give a ■■■■ out here and stop jogging around and turning the ball over?

that’s been half the problem though, he’s happy to run hard to run and gun and try and get on the end of flashy stuff.
it’s the defensive stuff that’s the real problem. he’s gone back to his 2022 phase of downing tools, and that was cos of rumours he was one that didn’t like what the coach was trying to do/implement.

He downed tools because there was a rumour?

Weird move

No confidence. Head is elsewhere

the rumour was he and a few players hated rutten and wanted him gone, and played a certain way.
redman was one of the obvious ones.

like i said this years form is looking very familiar to 2022.

Maybe …
I reckon it’s also that we’ve no true leaders down back, organising, getting the group in a huddle when things go wrong etc… McG should by rights be as vc, but doesn’t look it to me. Big Ben could and should be that organiser given he sees everything in front of him but not seeing him either. Ridley? Well yes but been injured etc and he’s not a big voice by looks of it.

Redders needs to pull his finger out, stop the sulking (if that’s sort of what you’re saying) and be that leader. Starting this Friday and forever more. Get right amongst it.

Might be the worst player on our list at the moment.

Now that we’re officially out of the finals race, there’s no excuse for keeping him in the side. He should be dropped, along with about another five for the last game.

He plays as if he doesn’t care. Jogs along unless he can receive the ball, puts in half-hearted efforts, and is one of too many defenders who gives his opponent way too much space. He disrespects the game. I don’t like saying it because he used to be one of my favourite players.

I was talking with Redmans Cousin tonight and he said that Mason was saying he just wants to go back to Millicent and Coach them to a flag.I think he’s over the AFL.
